Whether you are a current candidate or considering becoming a Board Certified Specialist in Fluency and Fluency Disorders, this website is designed to guide you through the process.

For almost twenty years, many deeply committed speech-language pathologists and others from the stuttering community have volunteered diligently in order to improve the services for those with fluency disorders.

On January 1, 2014, the process of becoming a Board Recognized Specialist transitioned to a certification process. If you are considering Becoming a BCS-F, we encourage you to explore our website for more information. If you are currently in process of becoming a BCS-F specialist, please see Important Information for more information.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the American Board of Fluency and Fluency Disorders (ABFFD). We would love to hear from you and answer any questions you might have about the certification process.
